Lazy Santa...

It's Christmas in JULY! Play as Lazy Santa - a man who just wants a chill Christmas this year, and thanks to the elf scientists at the North Pole, Old Saint Nick has a new trick in his bag, THE GIFT BLASTER!

Launch presents into chimneys to spread the Christmas cheer. Special delivery was used both as the action of my chosen concept - but also in the execution, by which the means of delivery is ALSO special!

07/02 UPDATE!!!

Some huge updates abound! Here's the change log:

• Fixed house textures.
• Added additional set decoration.
• Added new niagra particle effects when you score a chimney.
• Added christmas lights when you score a chimney.
• Fixed gift launcher physics.
• Fixed procedural generation and cleanup

Added a fade in, still haven't solved the issue of VR Pawn not spawning/possessing player controller correctly when using level streaming. LMK if you have any idea what's up with that!

Ran out of time for a proper load in/menu - so please give the exe a few moments to initialize - should be smooth sailing from there. Hoping to update the game over the weekend if possible!

Wanted to challenge myself w/ this Game Jam after coming back from some time off. 

You play as "Lazy Santa" who can't be bothered to go down the chimney to deliver gifts - instead you have a trusty GIFT LAUNCHER to help you launch presents down chimneys from the comfort of your sleigh!

While I started a day late, I'm happy enough with where I landed. Wasn't able to implement a proper game loop - but it's really fun to zone out and enjoy the mood/music and work on my chimney tricks shots!

Been diving into Unreal lately - and wanted to focus on procedural generation workflows and data management. Was able to work through so many interesting twists and turns in proper proc-gen workflow using instanced static meshes and how to data wrangle.  Also UE's VR template is kiiiiinda a hot mess - still love you UE!

Was just a great way to jump back into game dev/Unreal!
